Cape Town

Cape Town is probably South Africa's most famous city, renowned worldwide for beauty and the good life, and it fully deserves that status. Cape Town is, no question, the most beautiful city I have ever been to. Starting with Table Mountain, that enormous flat-topped mountain that looms right over the city, and going on to the Garden district and its colonial buildings, and the Victoria & Alfred (V&A) Waterfront, there're lots of nice sights and attractions. Some people compare it to San Francisco or to Europe though on the other hand, others derisively say it is not in Africa. Outside the city lies a huge expanse of townships, where poverty, crime and lack of jobs are rampant. So be aware that with the beauty, also exists the ugliness.
