Guangdong province
Guangdong province is located right above Hong Kong and is the birthplace of Cantonese culture, language, and cuisine. As the world's factory and China's economic engine, it is also one of China's wealthiest provinces. When it comes to travel, it definitely takes a back seat to many places in China. Even after over 8 visits to China (3 of which were to Guangdong), I've yet to go to Guangzhou, Guangdong's capital and one of China's major cities.
